Since 1915, our famous five star hotel has been renowned for providing a very special brand of service. When you step into the elegant foyer at Meikles, you will know you have made the right choice. The smartly-turned out, professional and welcoming staff, meticulous attention to detail, the grand piano being quietly played to guests relaxing over coffee and cakes, indulgent spa treatments and world-class facilities are all hallmarks of our hotel. As befits our status as an international hotel, security is a priority, with the hotel and its guests protected around the clock by electronic surveillance systems in all public areas, in room corridors, at exits and entrances and by uniformed and plainclothes security personnel in and around the hotel.

The natural warmth of the Zimbabwean people is reflected in the welcome given to our guests by our trained and experienced staff, many of whom have served Meikles Hotel and its guests for long periods of time – in some cases for 40 years! Our History

In 1915, a charming hotel opened its doors in an elegant colonial building at the centre of the thriving city that is now Harare. Meikles has changed dramatically over the years, with the 'new' Meikles regularly rising like a Phoenix as the hotel adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of a growing country.

Meikles Hotel has won the prestigious Association of Zimbabwean Travel Agents (AZTA) award for Best City Hotel in Zimbabwe for an astonishing 15 consecutive years. This award is voted on by AZTA members and is based on feedback given to travel agents by their many clients across the world.
